Novels in Verse

I recently read Far From You by Lisa Schroeder, a great book written in verse. Alice is struggling with her new family, including stepmother and new baby sister. A harrowing car trip through a blizzard helps bring life into focus.

Novels written in poetry are a unique reading experience. Here are a few ideas you might enjoy:

What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones
Shark Girl by Kelly Bingham
Because I am Furniture by Thalia Chaltas
Song of the Sparrow by Lisa Ann Sandell
A Bad Boy Can be Good for a Girl by Tanya Lee Stone
Walking on Glass by Alma Fullerton
Nothing by Robin Friedman
Identical by Ellen Hopkins
Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes
Shakespeare Bats Clean-Up by Ron Koertge
The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan
Street Love by Walter Dean Myers
Heaven Looks a lot Like the Mall by Wendy Mass
Rubber Houses by Ellen Yeomans
