Realistic Fiction

Here are a few realistic fiction books I've read recently that you might enjoy...

Dirty Laundry by Daniel Ehrenhaft
What happens when a do-gooder Hollywood actress meets a graffitti artist with a "fun" name at a crazy east coast boarding school where a student has recently gone missing? You get a quirky and humorous mystery with two unlikely sleuths!

Stealing Heaven by Elizabeth Scott
Danielle is a thief. She's been raised to break into people's home and steal their belongings. But she's ready for a change, a life without stealing and running and lying. When her and her mother arrive in the tourist town of Heaven, Dani wonders if things could finally be different.

Project Sweet Life by Brent Hartinger
You have to get a summer job...but wouldn't one last summer of freedom be amazing? So what do you do when you parents force you to get a job? You come up with "Project Sweet Life," make the money without getting the job!

Final Weeks of Summer Fun...

This is it...your last chance to become a gaming champion or enjoy popcorn and a movie at the library this summer! Don't worry, we'll have all this and more after school starts; but before we think about school, let's enjoy these last weeks of summer...

Movie Talkers Book Group is Wednesday, August 5 from 6-8 p.m. We'll snack on popcorn while watching Inkheart on the big screen. Stick around at the end of the movie to share your opinions about both the book and movie.

Summer Gaming Madness concludes with a Mario Kart Tournament on Thursday, August 6 from 2-4 p.m. Race for your chance to win a $10 or $5 gift card or giant box of candy!

Don't forget the Summer Reading Prize Party on Wednesday, August 26 from 6-7:30 p.m. There will be games, food, and of course, loads of summer reading prizes! Turn in your page counts by August 25 to be eligible for the prize drawing.
