The Curse Workers: White Cat by Holly Black
Cassel is the only non-worker in a family of well known curse workers. With the simple touch of a bare hand his mother can alter people's emotions and his brothers can bring good luck or broken bones. Things start to change for Cassel when he wakes up in the middle on the night on the roof of his dorm, apparently ready to jump off. Not the suicidal type, he suscepts someone has cursed him. And when a white cat and strange dreams invade his life, Cassel must find out quickly what's going on before something terrible happens to him.
Holly Black has created a wonderful, yet terrifying, world where everyone wears gloves to protect themselves from curses. White Cat is fast paced, exciting, and unusual; I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series!
